Crazy Hair Productions offers studio education and consulting for any individuals who are looking to learn digital audio techniques, recording techniques, production techniques and so on. Travis personally teaches each of these classes and will often bring various recording setups to learn and record on. This program creates a great opportunity because use of recording equipment is free during the classes. Use the time to learn how to record your own music and subsequently use the recorded material as a promotion device.
Services may also include studio construction & purchasing consultation - assisting the client with equipment purchase discussions, studio design, implementation and much more. The end goal is to get the artist comfortable with recording so it's easy to get ideas down.
CHP also features an 'on-site recording classroom' program where we bring a full studio's worth of gear to give students or faculty an introduction to digital audio recording and studio techniques. While providing instruction in the engineering and technologies of recording, we also teach the values and ethics of recording, some of which include how to prepare and practice for a session or performance as well as the importance of 'vibe' and 'flow' in the studio.
Through this program, students and/or faculty will learn how to record on a digital audio workstation with their own instruments while learning various aspects of dynamics, equalization, digital audio, microphones and more. CHP student workshops will help students become better musicians by understanding sound waves, different forms of practicing, forms of production, becoming more comfortable with their instrument and by boosting their interest in music.
This program creates a great opportunity because use of recording equipment is free during the teaching. Use the time to learn how to record your own music or band's music and then use the recorded material as a promotion device. The service prices are so low that you can make back your investment by selling your recordings.
